some more fun cards..

Trying some new stamps and I got a heat gun finally.. had a 50% coupon for Michael's Craft Store and just had to get it. I have been wanting one since the beginning of the year but just couldn't pay full price, instead I would use my toaster, what a crazy girl I am to do that. Now since I have it , it is hard to put down. I did 2 of these cards using the heat gun and embossing powder, I just love the look of them. What a fantastic idea.. thanks to that Technique class I took in January on Wescrap, Jess taught us so many cool things and this was one of them. I am loving it so much!!
But these are the cards I made this week, one of them I copied from my sister she made for our newphew, the Unity Dream Tree.. I just love it with the Martha Stewart Chick punch. The bird cage one I did for a Guest Designer Challenge on Unity Stamps.. It would be such a treat to be picked. So many talented people doing this challenge it is going to be very hard to choose.
But here they are.. please let me know what you think.

It's been so long since I got into some digi scrapping. I love digital cause there is no mess and there are some great freebies out there just ready to download. Here is a layout I did with Sydney.. she just loves taking photo's of the two of us. This was just last week down in the basement where we hang out all day if not at the park or the back yard. Just us girls watching some television having fun with the camera.. bestest friends forever... I hope in a couple of years we can still do this.

Happy Monday

You've Got Mail!!

I just had to share these really great storage holders I got in the mail today..they are amazing!! They hold so much in them it blew me away. I got them from Unity in there garage sale last week. I know for sure I will have to get some more. I got 3 sets of stamps in them with no problem at all. for the front cover I stamped the images that are in there and put them in a clear paper holder this way I could place the paper of the samples in them and slip it out if I changed anything.and for the side i just used a strip of photo paper and wrote the title of what is inside. I am loving this system. So glad I tried it. Now just need to get some more to fill the empty space on my shelf.. don't you think.

anyone in need of storage this is the best thing ever... and you get 4 in a package for only $12.50. What a great deal!!

Have a great day

Embellish Everything.. a challenge

Being on the Design Team for Wescrap we get to come up with lots of great challenges for you to do. My challenge for today is to get those scraps out and make some cool embellishments for your pages. I love to do something whimsical once in awhile and this was so much fun.. not much patterened paper just alittle strip, everything else was just embelishments.. even the journaling tag got some embellie love.
here is my example..

...give it a try and come join the group at Wescrap in the iteam challenges. a great prize is won every month.

Graduation Album.

This is the Album that I made for my son, Alex he is Graduating from Grade 8 .. I just can't believe it is that time .. he will be 14 in a couple of weeks and off to highschool in September.. where has the time gone. So this was one of my projects yesterday to make this as a little present for him to have and this way he can look back at what happened the day he Graduated from Grade 8. Which is on Wednesday so I am hoping to get some good photo's where he isn't hiding from the camera. He did promise me that I can take as many as I wanted with him and his friends. So here it is I wanted to just stick to 4 colours and it is hard to do things for boys when I do so many girly layouts.. but I think it turned out really good.

Hope you are all having a Happy Day!
Happy Scrappin'
